Abstract
This paper deals with two fast and accurate analytical models (subdomain and permeance magnetomotive force models) for the calculation of the airgap flux density distribution in main electrical machine topologies. Such models can be efficiently used for the vibroacoustic predesign of electrical machines. Both analytical models are illustrated for various topologies and operating points, including healthy and faulty conditions, and validated with numerical simulations. These models are used in MANATEE software specialized in NVH electrical machines simulation.
